MBK ENTERTAINMENT PRESENTS FAME

Check out rising artist/songwriter FAME from Brooklyn, New York.

In 2011 we are seeing several different styles become successful in hip hop and with the success of Drake and B.O.B, we are sure to see more. FAME a young rap artist and singer has been getting great feedback while on the grind to create a serious buzz for himself. In October of 2010 FAME signed a management and production deal with MBK Entertainment, who represent a-list artist like Alicia Keys and Tyrese.

“I’m glad the response to what I do has been so positive for the most part. I’m definitely influenced by the golden era of hip hop and conscience lyrics. At the same time I gravitate towards more musical elements with an energetic rawness.” Fame next says with a grin, “then again, sometimes you just gotta spit the dirty truth.” Is FAME's response to the feedback he has be getting from the critics.

Since signing his deal, FAME has been locked in the MBK midtown studios, with plans to release a mixtape in 2011. Influenced by Jay Z, Biggie, Fabolous & R. Kelly he has the ability to create music past his time. Check out FAME's current record "Coy" below. The record has been getting spins here in New York City on Power 105 and Hot 97. As a result of staying on his grind FAME recently hit the stage for BET's Music Matters performance at Crash Mansion.

Once again its on! Yes indeed here we are with the latest "In The Limelight" feature on TheSocietyOnline.biz. Now this is really not a new jack here, because this MC has been grinding for a while and have opened up for artist like Soulja Boy and then some. Bawsten has a pretty dope following as well so lets take a look into Bawsten's grind. Check him out "In The Limelight".


It’s been a long journey for Bawsten since being the first rapper to drop a verse in front of the White House. Since 2007 Bawsten has toured nationally, rocking crowds in Miami, Tampa, Boston, PA, NJ, Charlotte, CT, and more cities on the Hot Import Nights tour as the headliner with Demic. In addition they opened for Soulja Boy, LMFAO, Keith Murray, Erick Sermon, Trina, DJ Khaled and more. Bawsten has a way with crowds that is un-matched. You can see evidence of this when he drops his verse with NO mic OR speakers, for a crowd inauguration weekend, when Obama was elected. To Bawsten, this was bigger than anything he’s ever done. Unfortunately, they didn’t get the press they deserved. He didn’t realize this until he was detained by Piscataway Police and decided to tweet about his experience on Twitter. Having done this, Bawsten made USA Today headlines with an article written by Phil Spector and was featured on Brazil’s largest TV network, Globo TV. At this point he noticed that when a rapper does something positive it is overlooked by the media because it doesn’t fit the mold of what a rapper is, but being in Jail DEFINITELY does. This defective behavior by the media has opened the eyes of Bawsten and has only fueled his desire to become a successful artist.

You guys already know TheSocietyOnline.biz is where the real world meets the blog world and today we have "In The Limelight" Harlem MC B/A. Now I know some of you know him and some of you don't so lets check out the homie B/A "In The Limelight".

B/A is not your average Harlem MC, according to B/A he is not just a rapper but a human being. B/A raps about situations going on in his life, not just about how dope his swagg is or the latest designer cloths or how many chicks he is smashing. B/A started rapping in 2001, just joking around with his friends spitting bars and discovered he actually had talent. He contracted a manager in 2002 and began to pursue a career in the rap game. He became apart of Demevolist Music Group featuring other artists like
Charles Hamilton, Show Tufli, and Yung Nate. The situation was not so solid over there and before he knew it the deal with Interscope was no more, but it did not stop B/A from staying on the grind.

Born in the tough streets of Brooklyn, New York Gilberto "Tito Brown" Chambers developed a way with words at an early age. He became very rebellious as most youth do during their teenage years and moved out at age 16. "Leaving home gave me a different perspective on life…no one cares once you leave the nest. I adopted a hustler's mentality," says the young lyricist. He began recording at age 17 and then moved to Virginia. "A breath of fresh air is all I needed and VA gave it to me." It was in Virginia where he attended college and got his first taste at the "good life." He's recorded in various studios and has worked with many different artists & producers and has ghostwritten for many local artists as well. His first single "Price iz Rite" debuted Feb. 8th, 2009 on Power 92.1 in Virginia and is still currently in rotation. His second single "Yea Getta" debuted on Power 92.1 on May 31st 2009.

UNSIGED HYPE: CAMAY GUEVARA

R.O.H (REVOLUTION OF HIP-HOP)

14 years ago Ghostface Killah dreamed up the ultimate wifey. Classy yet street, intelligent and fun and beautiful. There was no way of knowing the hip hop world would have a chance to meet her. Yet here she is; Camay.

At the age of nine, Camay decided she wanted to rap. The sudden inspiration? A song entitled ‘One Love’ by a then 20 year old Queens native rapper called Nas. Raised in the church, her mother shielded Camay and her siblings from secular music. So her peek into the rap world came via borrowed mix tapes from her older brother’s friends, and watching MTV while her parents worked. “It was funny,” She recalls. ” because as a baby my mother would sit me in front of music videos to keep me busy.. then she found God and snatched mine away.”
That didn’t stop young Camay from developing an ever growing romance with hip hop. She honed her skills while growing up bouncing around from between New york and California after her parent’s divorce. New York City, Brooklyn to be exact, is the place where she really came into her own as an artist. Living in San Antonio TX, however, introduced Camay to a whole new music type, and taught her to be versatile.

Stage performances were next on the list of things to perfect. Camay, along with a group called HottStixx Productions out of San Antonio, opened up for headlining acts who were hot at the time. Mystikal and South Park Mexican were some of the many.

Camay has written for, worked and recorded with many names in the industry, and continues to make moves in the hip hop scene. In 2007 Camay performed at NYC’s Hot97 Summer Jam Festival pre show. That was also the year of her debut solo mixtape effort ‘A Drug Dealer’s Dream’ which sold impressive numbers online.

After the passing of a close friend in 2008 Camay took a break from the hip hop scene to reevaluate her life and goals. But her love for the music was too overwhelming to let her stay away. Now with a new year, Camay is gearing up for the release of her new EP, "Revolutionaire", which features true to the lifestyle hip hop infused with rock.

Camay lives to perform and loves traveling to do so. Her gritty vocals and street savvy will keep you looking for more.

Jay-Terror-aka Terror was born and raised In The South Bronx On 147st WILLIS AVE to be exact... He was born September 21 1987. He started out as a drawing artist he then noticed he also had skills to write lyrics. At the age of 8 Jay-Terror came across someone who is one of his motivations 2 rap to this day.

He goes by the name LETHAL. Jay-Terror and Lethal Hung Out On The Block together not knowing one another had skills until one day Lethal had a instrumental CD. The two got it in and its been on ever since.

Jay-Terror also has a street team called "Street Envy" that holds down The Bronx, Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn. Jay-Terror is ready to take the game over and put NYC back on the map by making good music.
