EMINEM SIGNS SLAUGHTER HOUSE & YELAWOLF + XXL COVER

Eminem, Slaughter House & Yelawolf cover XXL Magazine March 2011 issue which hits newsstands on February 8th. After all the talk about Slaughter House & Yelawolf signing with Shady records the deal is finally done and Em talks about it in this issue.

“Yelawolf and Slaughterhouse, it’s kinda phase two of Shady,” says Eminem. “It’s the new generation of Shady Records and as we’re trying to rebuild our label, it’s exciting for hip-hop and with all of these forces coming together and with what everybody’s capable of on the mic, it’s gonna be fun.”

Dr. Dre and Eminem cover the second cover of VIBE Magazine August/September issue. The first cover went to Diddy and his Commission. Looks like Dr. Dre and Eminem are back to take over hip hop once again. Emimen has killed the charts with his Recovery album which I believe is still number 1 on the billboard charts and Dr. Dre is gearing up to release the album that everyone has been waiting a decade for "Detox". Last night Eminem and Rihanna shot the video for his 2nd single "Love The Way You Lie." The video was shot on location in LA, directed by Joseph Kahn. The word is "Love The Way You Lie" will be #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week. Eminem is back at number #1 with "Recovery" just killing the rap game. I bet he got all these black MCs mad as hell.

EMINEM "RECOVERY" ALBUM COVER & SHADE45 INTERVIEW

Check out the album cover for Eminem upcoming release "Recovery". Eminem hit up Shade 45 which is his own radio station to talk with Angela Yee about the new album and reveal some details. He spoke about the new single, working with new producers and the Detroit Lions. The new album from Eminem, "Recovery" will be released June 22, 2010, on AfterMath/Interscope. The release date was announced today by Interscope Records. "Recovery" will be Eminem's seventh album, and he will be collaborating for the first time with producers like Havoc, DJ Khalil, Just Blaze, Jim Jonsin and Boi-1da, and others will be on deck as well. IS DRAKE'S "THANK ME LATER" ALBUM GONNA BE A SMASH?

In Toronto this afternoon (March 12th) a few guys got an invite from Universal Music to meet Drake and listen to some new tracks from his soon–to–be–released album. "It sounds like a monster to me," says Ace Burpee. "It was really good stuff. And Drake is a nice kid. Here’s what I can tell you…"

1) There’s a song on the disc called “Fireworks” that has the greatest beat ever. Drake has this sidekick producer called 40, and he’s talented. I met him as well this afternoon and he’s also a good kid. He’s about to be very, very busy. “Fireworks” has a hook on it courtesy of Kings of Leon. It’s catchy.

2) There is a Kanye West–produced track on the album that comes with a story. The track was made by Kanye for Beyonce, but Drake really wanted it so he wrote her a handwritten letter asking if he could use it. She read it and thought it was sweet and e–mailed him to give her permission. It’s a great track.

3) There’s a Jay–Z/Drake track that he played for us – minus Jay’s verse. Jay–Z doesn’t let anyone hear his stuff before it comes out. Drake claims it is the greatest verse Jay’s ever done.

4) I think the final track on the album is called “Thank Me Now” or something. He played us a recorded verse then did another one live and it was one of the best. Really cool.

5) He sings on a bunch of tracks on the album.

6) This Saturday Drake will be in L.A. doing a track with Dr. Dre and Eminem.

7) Yes, there is a Timbaland beat on the album.

It is highly possible that the biggest album of 2010 will be from a Canadian, and his name will be Drake.
