MYFOXNY.COM - The NY Yankees high-tailed it out of Philadelphia after losing game five of the World Series to the Philadelphia Phillies, 8-6.
The Bombers arrived at Yankee Stadium on Academy buses at around 2 a.m. on Tuesday. They have two chances left to win the World Series.
Luxury cars were waiting for the players. Video from Fox 5 News shows team captain Derek Jeter being helped with his bags and into a chauffeured black car. Catcher Jorge Posada pulled his suitcase from the bus and walked out of the stadium.
The players and staff were greeted by stadium employees as they walked off the buses.
The loss to the Phillies isn't such a bad thing for many fans who feel it would be even better to win the series on home turf.
Game six of the World Series is scheduled for Wednesday. Coverage begins on Fox 5 with Good Day At The Game at 7 p.m. First pitch is at 7:57 p.m.
