As an opening act for several major artists (Styles P, Remy Ma, Trey Songz, Lil Mama & more) he gained a great BUZZ factor and is now the 2009 winner of the Underground Music Award for Best Live Performance.

His blend of pop, dance-hall, soul and rock music has been compared to the likes of Akon, Rihanna & Prince. In a few short years of grinding hard, he's amassed a huge supportive following (over 10,000 on twitter @MikeLyrik) and has toured internationally (through Dubai, Muscat Oman to Hong Kong).

He recently performed @ the prestigious Brooklyn Fashion Weekend 2010 extravaganza and ROCKED the stage in Baltimore Maryland for the LIVE streaming concert "The Next Big Thing"!
