Apparently, Google employers in their high-tech Street View cars were accidentally retrieving personal data from unsecured wireless networks on their daily rounds. While mapping some areas, personal information that Google claims to "regret to acquire" was picked up and Google is now desperately trying to get rid of the information in order to gain the people's trust.
Now, if you're out there thinking this is a Big Brother situation- well, you're kinda WRONG. If this is truly an accident, well, then the people who don't lock their internet connections are at fault. Everyone knows that personal information and access are vulnerable in unsecured networks. If you don't lock your internet connections, then you accept that risk and shit like this can happen.
