SOURCE: INSIDE TVLaurieann Gibson is always yelling dream big and now it looks like her dreams are continuing to unfold in front of her eyes, the amazing talented choreographer has landed her very own E! series produced by Ryan Seacrest. The Dance Scene has been announced in the past as being in development but has now been approved by the E! network.
The show will consist of Eight episodes of the half-hour show will follow Laurieann Gibson as she trains a team assistant choreographers and dancers who have big dreams to work with high-profile stars.
“The competitive world of the professional dancer is grueling creative work,” says Lisa Berger, executive vice president of programming at E! “Watching Laurieann mentor these young artists, who will do anything to make it in the business, gives us a glimpse into a world where the pursuit of success and excellence outweighs all else.”
For 15 years, Laurieanne Gibson has worked with artists from Diddy to Alicia Keys, and has choreographed Lady Gaga’s music videos and her recent world tour. She’s also no stranger to TV, being a “Fly Girl” on the Fox series In Living Color, being the lead choreographer for MTV’s Making the Band, and was a judge on ABC’s recent Skating With the Stars.
“Dance is at the center of pop culture — today more than ever — and Laurieann is an amazing force accelerating this huge wave of creativity,” Seacrest says. “This series gives audiences an insider’s view of how competitive the dance world is, the talent and ambition that a dancer needs to be successful in the Hollywood scene, and the drama that ensues along the way.”
The series debuts April 10.

As a judge on Skating with the Stars, Laurie was cruel to Bethenny Frankel.
Why did you take Johnny Weir's lead with all of those low scores? Your role was to mentor and encourage. I think you blew a great chance for exposure on Network tv. It was a dumb move.
