iPHONE USERS: BORROW AN ALARM CLOCK THIS WEEKEND

If you use your iPhone as an alarm clock you might want to get a cheap alarm clock if you want to make it to work on time. There is a daylight savings bug that is causing the alarm to go off an hour later than scheduled.

Some iPhone users in Australia experienced the delayed alarm when they made the daylight savings switch a few weeks ago. Now Europe is being hit with the bug during their switch this past weekend.

According to Engadget, it doesn't impact all alarms. If you have your alarm set to repeat every day at the same time, you should be ok. If it is just set to go off on the weekends or a particular day though, it will be delayed an hour before it fires off.

Engadget tried a few workarounds, like deleting and re-adding the alarm, but that did no good. Apple is working on a fix, but no release date has been specified. Before the bug impacted Europe, Apple said they were aware of the problem and would be releasing a patch but not before that continent was getting the work day started an hour later than usual.

The cost of programming for daylight savings time has to be huge. I cannot count the number of DST patches that have been released for servers, desktops and consumer electronics over the last few years. Not only that, it is important to note that DST contributes to global warming.

APPLE iPHONE 4G PROOF?

SHOUT OUT TO #TEAMBLACKBERRY!

Check out what looks like to be proof of the iPhone 4G. Now in dweeb land the rumors was buzzing about the iPhone 4G getting ready to release, but no one was sure. Engadget.com gave up the exclusive photos today and from the looks of it, I think the proof just might be here, only time will tell if this is true. Engadget.com did have proof of the iPad which was on the money so maybe they can be 2 and 0. check what Engadget.com reported below.



Well what do you know about this? With all those rumors flying around that the iPhone 4G we'd spotted was no more than a Japanese knock-off of an Apple product, it was starting to look like this thing was too good to be true. That is until one of the Engadget editors spotted what seems to be solid proof that this is -- in fact -- the next iPhone. If you'll recall, the night before the iPad was revealed, we had leaked shots of the device from what appeared to be an Apple test lab. Upon further inspection of these pictures today, the aforementioned editor discovered that the new iPhone 4G we've just gotten photos of is actually sitting on the table beside the iPad prototype! Imagine how blown our minds were when we realized we have had a photo of the next iPhone for months! As you can see in the pic above, the left side of the new device is clearly visible on this table in the upper right hand corner, and since we believe that these photos come directly from an Apple testbed, it's hard to deny that the phone you've just seen is in fact the real deal. Not only that, but we suspect that the device on the tablet itself is also a version of the new phone (you can see what looks like aluminum along the bottom) which seems to be housed in some type of iPhone 3G-like case.

Additionally, a source -- who confirms this is the next Apple iPhone -- also tells us that the device apparently does have a higher res screen on-board, a front-facing camera, a higher resolution camera with flash, and takes MicroSIM cards (that's the little "button" around the side you see in the Twitpic which is floating around the internet). We're working on uncovering more info, but right now you can take a look at the proof above for yourself, and in the gallery below.

TIGER WOODS iPHONE PORN

Tiger Woods' iPhone was custom loaded with porn and cartoons before his sex scandal exploded in late 2009, according to TMZ. If true, this would have required extra effort since, as the article notes, pornography is not available on the phone's App Store.

It is not clear whether any of the alleged porn featured the adult actresses that he reportedly slept with. Porn star Joslyn James claims Woods twice impregnated her during their affair. Holly Sampson, who starred in movies such as Descent Into Bondage and Diary of a Horny Housewife, says she and Woods had "amazing" sex and even described it in a web video. She also may have worked as an escort. Most recently, a Florida woman named Devon James, who has described herself as a "Porn Queen," claimed to have slept with Tiger.

Another intriguing element about Woods' phone usage is his history of allegedly sending salacious text messages to his supposed lovers. He is said to have sent one possible mistress a slew of dirty texts, and Joslyn James recently released what she says is a series of extremely graphic text messages from Woods.
